***Need a break from a hectic life, .The Okanagan is a great option for a Canadian getaway surrounded by nature. Treat yourself...you deserve it!. Enjoy.. our.. Million $ view cottage located within the La Casa resort. Over 475 homes are privately owned, each unique. An opportunity to spend your vacation out of the city but still have lots to do. Located 35-40 minutes to Westbank/Kelowna or similar to Vernon. Spend the entire time at the resort or sprinkle a couple day trips for the vast Okanagan activities. Wineries galore simple/fancy, boating, water park in lake, swimming, hiking, mini golf, beaches/parks, restaurants.. The resort is popular for families, couples, nature lovers, sporting enthusiasts. Guests have come from across Canada, US even Europe.. If you prefer the Kelowna very busy.. atmosphere honestly your best option is to rent there.
**We do use a contract and the minimum age to rent with us in 25.**** We are approved for a maximum of 6 guests ..which would include children. ***. A small family or group, a couple or two. *Currently the heated upper resort pool is open and the hot tub . The tennis/pickleball/mini golf are open. The water trampoline/fitbit is in the lake ready for use. The 2 new hot tubs/replacing old ones opening Aug 1st estimate in the amenities park.
We are located below the main road entrance to the resort on the lower side of the resort toward the lake .Our street is relatively quiet. We a 5 minute walk. to the amenities park which includes a kids sandy playground, mini golf, pickleball, tennis, volleyball. The resort store and casual restaurant, strata on site office. A five minute drive to the upper pool and hot tub, or a five minute drive down to the lake. The water trampoline/witbit is a huge hit all summer...new parts/additions this year.. No one has ever complained on our location within the resort.
Take 2 steps into our welcoming cottage and the lake view is visible across the lake. But even more spectacular take a step out on the deck to admire the sweeping lake view to the left also. A simply amazing experience from our unobstructed clear glass, no top rail viewing. We have space between our neighbours below us and one of the resort greenspace's is next store on our left. This offers a bit more privacy for a conversation, relaxation, bbq and patio for dining .We have high speed secured internet and cable tv. You can also sign into your own Shaw Account in the cottage and I believe at the pool. Ask at strata office for any resort questions.
The cottage is tastefully decorated inside and out plus well maintained. It's a home we share and shows pride of ownership. Check out our 120+...outstanding reviews.. All verified guests. More recently we added new kitchen appliances, new laundry appliances ,HVAC, upgraded lighting, high quality comfy bedroom carpets, new modern/powerful ceiling living room fan upgrade. Other big & little refreshes each year. Front entrance and deck area are nicely landscaped with plants & lighting for extra ambiance. For many people it's a drive away, stay in a home not a hotel, with an awesome view and very good service. Your getaway is calling your name!. Imagine nature surrounds you, the deer often walk on the hillside, or lay down for a rest. You might even see a mountain goat. Lots of trees, water, and some sand.
How do you enjoy spending your time? A walk, a hike, a run, taking your kids to the playground, read a book, jump in the lake or pool, swim/water trampoline, boating, wine and dine on your deck or at a winery or restaurant. Have a snack and a beer, or a sunrise coffee. Just listen to your music by the lake or pool. Lots of birds for bird watchers. Stargaze. Bring your bike and go in town for a trail ride .or behind (above)the resort You can rent a kayak/paddleboard or a golf cart if you like, rentals are through the store/3rd party. Go climb (free)the 500 stairs at the Fintry Park to see the waterfall then walk around their historic site. Bear Creek hike (free)down the Westside Road has an uphill climb to see the view of downtown. Very nice. Or simply rest on a lounger get a tan. Unplug your phone or watch a show. All choices for you.
Our cottage does have the mini golf putters, a few tennis & pickleball racquets, related balls, Volleyball, basketball, beach towels, kids swim boards, pool noodles you can borrow. Some books for young readers, kids puzzles, a few games, some cards, etc. If you have a lawn games like cornhole etc bring it for the greenspace while there. Kids can play on
greenspace. .
*** Come for a quick getaway, a special occasion like a wedding, anniversary, Mother's Day, Father's Day, special birthday , summer holiday, or fall wine tours. . Need a break from cooking grab something from the store/casual restaurant. They "sometimes" even have entertainment, more so on a weekend. Come for a week...get your groceries delivered by Save On Foods Westbank store to your door. (Take a little preplan set up for this).
**The lake is very popular with the sun decks, wit bit/water trampoline. Open May long weekend into September. Bring water shoes. Grab a lake sundeck chair early or bring your own/towel etc. Hours of fun******. Note: We do have protected fisheries nearby so the water shoes help as you enter lake with some rocks. You can enter water by a ladder from a sundeck also. Offseason visits "when campfires are permitted" you can build a fire in a pit by the lake. You have to put it out before you leave unless others are still there. Water available. Some seating.
***New Rules at Aqua Park...children 5-12 need to wear a life jacket. Best to bring them for correct size. Each user must sign a waiver before use. Staff will be present to administer program and rules.
. Book a wine tasting in the area, do a patio lunch in town, visit some attractions like zip lining, visit the kangaroo farm in the area, take a boat ride. It's a good idea to research the amenities in town to be sure they are open/hours as expected.

The cottage is well stocked cottage to make you feel at home. **Bring your groceries and drinks. We do have some coffee available if you didn't bring your favorite. Some toiletries, laundry/dish cleaning, trash supplies, paper goods, some spices are provided.. The resort store is well stocked at a premium if you forget something including, wine/beer/snacks etc.
* Our larger deck has table with 6 chairs, 2 sun lounger. The smaller connecting deck outside the dining room, has our BBQ, cafe table and 2 chairs for a quick bite or beverage. The deck is never too hot to enjoy. We get the morning sunrise worth getting up for along with a coffee. If you have a busy day, no worries enjoy the peaceful view and night lights of the lake. We do have a slight tint on our windows to keep out the summer heat and aid the air conditioning. The resort is quieter in the off season and peak summer is typically busy. 2100 feet of private beach. **Be prepared to drive 5 minutes to the lake, walk down a driveway and along the lake to get to the dock/chairs. The kayaks/paddle boards are privately available to rent through the resort store. beautiful falls, walk the beach or shoreline there. La Casa boaters are known to use the Fintry boat launch it is free. Or. explore Bear Creek on Westside Road and the beautiful view of Kelowna its free exercise & view. If you are visiting the region for the first time you will want to venture around the Okanagan area coined the NAPA Valley of the North.. Let your adventurous side guide you to your favorite activity. Wine tours are available with local pick up and drop off. So leave the driving to someone else and enjoy. Explore 14 wineries within one hour of the resort. Take a guided winery tour or drive yourself. Choose from large wineries like Mission Hill or Quail's Gate with superb views, wine tastings, food pairings or small boutique wineries where you may meet the owners. Even the tours offer a variety of options.**Some wine tours will pick up and drop off at the resort) Stop for a lunch or dinner take it all in. Be organized or meander. If you a wine enthusiast come to the Okanagan for one of our wine festivals spring and fall. Very extensive activities We are a hidden treasure you need to experience. Once may not be enough. Save time for the regions World Class golf courses to challenge you. Book your tee time at Predator Ridge, Gallagher's Canyon or choose from over 40 courses between 25 minutes to one hour away. Bring a family member or friend to the driving range for practice. We definitely have a wide spectrum of courses with one to match your skill or handicap.
We hope you will visit La Casa. Many visitors do not have the desire to leave the resort during their stay. One suggestion is to explore the region during the day and relax at night.
