Summary: We tried to cancel about two weeks prior to arrival when we realized that the flight would arrive to late to catch the ferry. I had originally searched for hotels near Papeete and somehow ended up on Moorea (a nearby island). So Moorea was our first stop on our cruise and we visited the property. None of the staff spoke English so they connected us to owners wife who indicated she would contact Hotels. She, did in order to deny the refund. So we hoped to spend at least one day on the island when we found out that you have to reserve a spot on the ferry weeks in advance. Basically we were out of luck. So regarding the property.....calling it rustic would would be too kind. The kitchen shared the dining area on the patio. The beach was about 15 meters. The beach furniture was falling apart. The dinnerware was an mismatched clutter washed in a sink that I couldn't get hot water out of. I will say the the the 3 meter above ground pool and the surrounding area was thoroughly cleaned while we were there. No restaurants within walking distance, but a reasonably stocked Stop and Rob across the highway. We spent 3-4 hours there and felt fortunate that we didn't have to spend 2 nights. Book with extreme caution.

Summary: This place is PARADISE! We rented the main 4br Villa just for the two of us since it was all that was available, but felt like it was still a steal! The bed was so comfortable, the house clean with tropical decor, and it's SO beautiful in the back - like your own (manicured and beautiful) jungle on the beach. We loved all the Buddha statues that were softly lit at night, and the most epic giant wind chimes (they were huge so they were deep/low tones but still soft and soothing!). Stefanie, our welcoming manager, was gracious and full of great information. The hosts Kathy and Franck were around the property from time to time to tend to some things in the other bungalows, but were totally respectful and not intrusive at all. They were lovely people, great hosts, and obviously care deeply about providing a great experience for their guests! Mauruuru and congratulations for creating such a wonderful place!

Summary: Remote, but shopping across the street. Expensive cabs to get to the location. We liked it.

Summary: Immaculately maintained guest cottages and beach garden in a quiet gated setting. We enjoyed lounging and eating breakfast on our private deck with pretty ocean views.
This small resort is supurbly equipped for kayaking and snorkeling.

Summary: Unique and utterly serene, Fare Oaoa is the one lodging spot in the islands that I would return to. Our bungalow was 15 soft-sand footsteps from the beach. With a small pool, jacuzzi, kayaks, and inner tubes on offer, it was tempting to stay on property forever. Only gripes: annoying a/c system and birds who feasted messily on leftovers at night.

Summary: We had a great time here and wished we can stay longer. The bungalow is very well organized and well equipped with kitchen tools, dishes, glasses, and etc. There are kayaks for use for free. Life jackets and other safety gears are very clean and available in the bungalow or in the main property. The staff (Midi) is very kind and very helpful. We even bought a very big Tuna fish from her husband and Midi helped us prepare it. This is one of the best Tuna we ever had. The meat is not like Tuna we had in the Bay Area. We love everything here and highly recommend this place.

I huge plus to have available kayaks to go see the dolphins in the early morning. I highly recommend! The host Katy is extremely nice and sweet and made our visit very special.
