After a year of planning and building, we are thrilled to present the Magierowski Lake House on Koocanusa. Every inch of this home has been lovingly and thoughtfully created to take advantage of the mountain/lake views. This bright, relaxing environment is the quintessential outdoor getaway, central to many of the adventures found under British Columbia's expansive skies. Perfect for family fun, couples, water-sports, ski retreats, and other activities for up to 8 guests!
About Our Lake House
Opting for a clean and uncluttered energy, youβll find this property equipped for the most discerning guests. This home fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and of course, all you need for coffee each morning! Enjoy your meals together around the dining room table, or take it to the back patio for an epic barbecue.
After spending a day on the water or skiing down a mountain, decamp to the family room for the lower level for a movie night. This comfy space includes a flatscreen TV with streaming access and live TV via Youtube TV and WiFi. (A note about WiFi: because our area has only satellite internet, youβll need to be aware of multiple devices. After all, we are in rural BC βΊ.
Or pour some hot cocoa and gather around the Great Roomβs wood burning fireplace, looking out the windows at the expansive landscape. The use of a variety of materials and textures complement a modern decor with a hint of rustic style. Colors are serene and neutral and comfort is the standard. Large arched windows flood the space with natural light.
With four bedrooms and 3 full baths, thereβs space to comfortably accommodate 8 people. The primary bedroom is on the second level and features a king bed and access to a full bath with walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom on the upper level features 2 twin beds.
On the third level, the third and fourth bedrooms offer queens, share a full bath and our just down the hall from the lower floor living space.
The outdoor amenities are just as spectacular, with a large deck offering a relaxing lounge area. The walkout basement features a sitting area out of the sun and access to the yard and lake ~ 30 steps down the bank. (Landscaping & stairs to the water to be completed by June 2023)
The Surroundings
Conveniently located to many of the areaβs natural amenities, youβre literally steps from the lake and your private dock. The boat launch is located right down the road.
The historic town of Wardner is in the heart of the Purcell Mountain range making it the ideal launching spot for the many recreational opportunities within a short distance. Plenty of choices await whether you take in the the warm waters of Lake Koocanusa or you venture out to explore the many trails, golf courses, lakes, or ski runs which are only a short drive away in Fernie or Kimberley (40 Mins).
