Positive: Beautiful location, amazing sunsets, incredibly kind and helpful hosts. They assisted us with complicated transfers (our flight got delayed and we arrived after the last taxi boat) and with reservations for diner or boat trips, and withs transfers when needed. Miri and Felix are real jems! If we trvel back to Rairoa, we will definitely go back to Monita.

Negative: We loved the peace and quiet of Monita, the only dowside of the place being remote: you need to get organised about shopping and food especially in the evening, when it gets really dark and, worse, if traveling with a mobiliy impaired person.
