Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this charming little resort with several cottages. It’s quite remote, so if you enjoy peace and quiet, it’s absolutely perfect. Let’s start by saying that the service was outstanding – whatever we asked or messaged about, there was always staff available right away to help or solve any issue. Considering the very reasonable price of the cottage, it was more than satisfactory. Our terrace offered a breathtaking view of Mount Merapi, the surrounding farmland, and spectacular sunrises. The garden is a lovely bonus.

Negative: Space-wise, the cottage was fine, but the condition of the building could use some attention – there were quite a few gaps and cracks, and doors didn’t always open or close smoothly. Overall, the place felt a bit dusty, with dirt in corners and under the beds. The bathroom had only a very short supply of hot water, so with a family of four, usually only the first person enjoyed a warm shower, even if we kept them brief. Also, the shower-in-the-bath setup wasn’t the most practical.

Summary: All in all, for the price and the incredible setting, it’s a great choice if you can overlook some maintenance and clean
