Welcome to our cozy 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cottage in the upper westside of Santa Cruz. The cottage is an attached, but private, unit located on the back of the main house which is in a community housing community. The cottage is ideal for a busy work traveler or an adventurous person (or couple) looking to be minutes from West Cliff Drive, Natural Bridges State Beach, Wilder Ranch State Park, Moore Creek Preserve, and the many hiking/biking trails located on and around the UCSC campus.
The local city ordinances along with the housing association require all visitors be vaccinated against Covid-19. If you are not vaccinated, we will not be able to host you at this time.
There is no laundry on site. We recommend using Laundry Care Express
The owner lives on-site and is available when needed, but please reach out first to HostWell if you have any needs during your stay.
The location of this cottage is perfect for anybody looking for outdoor adventures! Only a 6 minute drive (or 10 minute bike ride) to Natural Bridges State Beach and West Cliff Drive - two of the most scenic places on the central coast. Enjoy a hike or bike ride through Wilder Ranch State Park which is only a 5 minute drive (or a 10 minute bike ride) from the cottage. UCSC campus is only a 10 minute walk.
You will have exclusive and private access to the guest suite including a private bedroom, bathroom, living area, kitchenette and patio area.
There is no TV in the cottage but the WiFi is fast enough for streaming to your own device. Enjoy hotel quality linens and Kiehl's bath products to rest, refresh and rejuvenate. You can enjoy spending quiet evenings in your own private, outdoor garden with a patio heater for those cool coastal nights.
The kitchen offers Peet's coffee for pour-over coffee brewing, a selection of tea's, along with natural sugar, stevia or splenda. Cooking in the cottage kitchenette is made easy by an induction cooktop, a full set of pots/pans, a Cuisinart toaster oven for minimal baking needs, and a microwave .
This is the perfect spot to wind down after long days of research, teaching, work meetings, beach-going, or hiking and bicycling.
The space is cozy and modern. It's ideal for someone who likes to come home and relax and read. The mattress is new and top-of-the-line and will leave you feeling rested and refreshed each morning . The cottage has strong WiFi allows streaming on your personal device and a ethernet port in the bedroom if you require a direct connection.
While it's roomy enough for a couple, it's most suitable for a single business traveler.

If you do have a car, there is no on-site parking. You may park on the street. We can provide a temporary parking permit if needed.
