Summary: This place is beautiful. The sounds of the birds the beauty of the plants, the view from the bungalow, all excellent. I like being in nature and this was like being in nature while still having comforts of home. The bathroom itself was gorgeous with a skylight, lava rock and plants. The man squiring net around the bed really works well. The owners took us on a boating trip to snorkel and it was divine. All very restful.

Summary: This is a very quite part of the island. My villa had a spectacular view. The best part was sitting on the deck in the morning and looking at the view

Summary: The place has been set up very beautifully, many details considered. The hosts were friends;y and helpful. The breakfast was fantastique. Best so far in our trip. We would happily come back. Note it is isolated, which is part of the charm. Do rent a car in advance. Can do the whole island. Very close to the sacred Marae.

Summary: The Hotel is nice, secluded, and peaceful. The property is very well maintained. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Cyrille and Louise are the best hosts you can have. We were able to get a car rental through them and their breakfast was excellent. I wish we could have stayed there longer to really enjoy the property. Hopefully one day we can come back. MARURU. Summary: This is the sort of hidden gem you dream of discovering when you travel. I booked the Oviri Lodge because it was the most reasonable choice close to the Taputapuatae cultural site. As soon as we drove down the driveway to the cluster of charming bungalos at the edge of a crystal clear lagoon, I knew we were in for a treat. The suite was huge, the view sublime, and Lousie and Cyrille gracious and helpful. There were fresh flowers everywhere, and the breakfast spread was AMAZING - every tropical fruit you can imagine, many types of fresh pastry, hot good coffee, their homemade jams. Plus Lousie helped us meet a local guide to the sacred Taputapuatae site we would never have found on our own.
Having lived and worked in Polynesia for a decade, and visited most of the major sites, this was the best hotel experience I've had.
