Raiatea, the sacred island as it is known here, is renowned as the birthplace of the Maohi civilisation in the Pacific Ocean! The epicentre of the great Polynesian migrations stretching from New Zealand to Hawaii, you'll be impressed by its landscapes, its lagoon, but above all by the powerful energies that reign there, known as "Mana". What's more, you'll have the chance to discover not one but two islands at once, as Taha'a, its neighbour Vanilla Island, shares the same lagoon, and is easily accessible in just 30 minutes by boat from the Uturoa quay!
The Tumaraa studio, located close to the airport, is a fully air-conditioned 30 square metre flat designed to accommodate two adults, 1 child and 1 baby. It is located above a pharmacy and is ideally situated close to places of interest, snack bars and caravans. This simple, practical and comfortable studio apartment is just a 5-minute walk from the lagoon behind the pharmacy, where you can enjoy magical snorkelling sessions. Free bikes are also available for exploring the surrounding area by road.
In the main room, you'll find the sleeping area with a queen-size bed, a smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area. For your child or toddler, an 80 x 180 mattress and a folding bed are available. The kitchen has a fridge, two hobs, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and all the utensils you need to prepare your meals on site. A table with chairs is available for meals.
The bathroom has a large shower and washbasin with mirror, while the toilet is separate and located at the entrance to the studio.
You'll also have access to a washing machine that converts to a tumble dryer for wetter days, and there's a portable drying rack for drying your clothes in the sun.
